Medstead School provides high quality primary education for 210 children aged between 4 and 11 years old. The school also has 14 places for profoundly deaf children, supported by British Sign Language Communicators and qualified Teachers of the Deaf.

The school operates under the children's chosen motto: Together we Learn.

Children at Medstead achieve standards and all make tremendous progress from their personal starting points. The school is committed to children learning through a variety of creative learning experiences which fully engage pupils. This "active learning" approach is embodied in day to day practice and in the planning of the curriculum. The school also takes its responsibility for providing for the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of the children very seriously. As part of its Christian ethos, the school focuses on the values of Hope, Trust and Courage. We aim to build trust in every classroom and throughout the school. This trust will give us the courage to say what we think and learn new skills. Being courageous and trusting in one another gives us great hope and aspiration for all our futures. We develop resilience to overcome difficulties through building skills, good habits, routines and attitudes over time.

The school also runs a breakfast club in partnership with Medstead Pre-School to provide childcare and a healthy breakfast from 8.05am. At the end of the school day, Medstead After School Club run by Medstead School staff, provides after-school care until 6.00pm.

The Headteacher is always delighted to show prospective parents around the school. Please telephone to arrange a convenient time.
