Roadworks at the Medstead Village Hall Entrance -  28th October for two weeks 

Hampshire County Council has appointed Rocon Contractors Ltd to construct a new footpath to Medstead Village Hall car park. Works are due to start on 28 October 2024 for approximately two weeks. During half term the permitted working hours will be Monday to Friday between 7:30am and 4.00pm. However, during term time the hours will be adjusted to 7.30am until 8.15am, resuming at 9.15am until 3:00pm Monday to Friday. Saturday working may be required, with any updates on this added to the Hampshire County Council scheme webpage. Please note that the works are weather dependent and may need to be re-arranged at short notice in the event of adverse weather. The nature of the work may bring some disruption or inconvenience however every effort will be made to keep this to a minimum. Changes to fortnightly glass collection

From 1st October 2024, glass collections from homes will move from every four weeks to fortnightly. You will need to put your glass out in a sturdy plastic box with handles. If you don’t have one, or want an extra one, you can order it here through your MyEHDC account. EHDC are removing all bottle banks, with the one in Four Marks to be removed in January 2025. Health and Wellbeing Walks at Queen Elizabeth Country Park

Health and Wellbeing Walks at Queen Elizabeth Country ParkQueen Elizabeth Country Park has announced opportunities to participate in free health and well being opportunities, funded by EHDC to promote physical and mental well-being. At present, these include free guided walks, mindfulness workshops and guided bike rides. Click on the links for more information.


Support for people living with dementia at the East Hampshire Dementia Festival

If you need help, Dementia festival | East Hampshire District Counciladvice or support on any aspect of dementia, this annual event will tell you everything you need to know, if you or someone you care about, has dementia. People living with dementia, their carers, families, and friends are invited to come to the East Hampshire Dementia Festival this October – to help them find specialist support and top advice from local charities and organisations. This free drop-in event, run by East Hampshire District Council and Dementia Friendly Petersfield will take place on Friday 4 October from 10am to 3pm at the Petersfield Festival Hall, Petersfield GU31 4EA.
